Writing a proposal is both a science and an art. The science part is to provide a well-posed problem on an important question. The art part is to be able to make your story compelling and exciting enough that a panel of experts will recommend your project for funding. In this talk, I will take you through the various steps necessary to write a compliant, motivating proposal for the NASA ROSES Program in astrophysics.
