Nippe-Jeakins is an astronomy and astrophysics major whose research, including at Jefferson Lab and Vanderbilt University, spans the universe’s most energetic phenomena and the fundamental forces governing the atomic nucleus. She was named a Universities Space Research Association Distinguished Undergraduate and received grants in nuclear physics and astrophysics.
