Nuclear experimental physics: Pion elastic, inelastic and charge-exchange reactions on few-body nuclei. Electromagnetic form factors of nucleons, and polarization studies of high-energy processes using electromagnetic probes.

Optical astronomy: Optical counterparts of X-ray sources and the study of spectral energy distributions (SEDs). Exoplanet studies via the transit timing variations (TTVs).
- Gamma-ray and X-ray astrophysics: Prompt emission in gamma-ray bursts (GRBs); Accretion phenomena in X-ray binary systems (XRBs); Temporal scales of spectral transitions in low-mass and high-mass X-ray binaries (LMXBs and HMXBs).
Temporal and spectral studies of X-ray binaries, including ultraluminous X-ray sources (ULXs). Modeling the accretion process and the SEDs in accreting systems and the extraction of temporal scales associated with spectral transitions in XRBs. Using temporal studies to distinguish between neutron-star (NS) and black-hole (BH) binaries. Using ground-based optical data and archival data from the Kepler and TESS missions to search for exoplanets using transit timing variations (TTVs).
