Minor in Physics
The physics minor gives students a working familiarity of physical concepts and delves into the critical analysis tools commonly used in the study of physics. Students can combine a minor in physics with virtually any course of study, from other liberal arts disciplines to engineering.
Declare a Minor
Are you interested in this minor or another program in the Physics Department? Reach out to the Physics Department advisors (phyadvis
gwu [dot] edu) as soon as possible, so they can discuss the program and course of studies with you. It is crucial to do this early, because this minor has built- in prerequisites and many of the upper-level courses are offered once a year or once every two years. It is not possible to combine a major in physics, astrophysics or biophysics with a minor in any of these three.
